Our story begins with the
love for all animals. We are a family of three, husband, daughter
and myself. Both my husband and I have had a variety of animals all
of our lives, and we love animals like they are a part of our
family. For approx. 10 years now we have had horses and for
the past 6 of those years we have raised and shown miniature horses.
These are delightful animals and a lot of fun. Our daughter has
shown her own miniatures in both halter and driving classes locally,
regionally and nationally. We really enjoyed showing the horses as a
family activity and still have a small breeding line of horses here
at our home. We have won several national titles, and
our daughter has competed in junior and adult classes with great
success as well.
My husband and I have always wanted to show dogs. For a while we
researched many different breeds, read any information on showing
dogs we could find, and went to local dog shows. We knew we wanted a
breed that has a fun loving disposition, easily cared for, and also
gorgeous to boot...
Of course all of our researching came down to one breed: the
cavalier king charles spaniel. With our decision in mind I began
searching the internet and meeting everyone we could that was
involved with the breed. As luck would have it, I emailed Mark
Sedgewick of Pascavale Cavaliers in England, and the rest is
history. See the
link to the Pascavale website on the links page. Mark
and Michael decided to take a chance on us as new members to the
breed and offered the chance to purchase our first cavalier bitch,
Pascavale Britany. “Britany” joined our family in Nov. 2001 and has
become our first owner handled AKC champion. She has lived up to
every dream we could hope for. Many thanks goes to Mark and Michael and endeavors.
Our
website is dedicated to our three horses lost in the barn fire Jan.
26 2000. We shall never forget you and may you run free forever.
Your lives were like bright shooting stars and we were lucky
that you shared your short time here with us. We shall never forget
you.
On a side note, please remember that our pets time here is only a
small portion of our lives, and we must take care of the time we
have with them. In the hussle and bustle of life, please take time
to look down at those loving faces that are right beside your feet
and love your pets. Take heed of the time you have with them, and
make some special memories to hold onto when they crossover to that
“rainbow bridge”. You will not regret it.
Thanks
Kristin, Larry, and Kelsie Jacks
